The seaward start of the long piled channel that leads through a shallow bay and a mangrove creek to Phuket Boat Lagoon and Royal Phuket Marina. Boats wait here or at Koh Rang Yai for enough tide to go in.

The coordinate is the channel start given by SEAP and Noonsite. The surrounding east-coast flats are shallow and muddy; SEAP recommends Koh Rang Yai (4 nm) as the place to wait for the tide, and no depths are published for waiting off the entrance itself.
