Adang–Rawi Seasonal Closure (mid-May to mid-Oct)

Each southwest monsoon the park closes the Adang–Rawi islands to visitors because of strong winds and high waves; Lipe itself and Tarutao stay open, but moorings, ranger stations and trips to the outer islands shut down.

Dates vary by year and source, so check the current DNP announcement. Pattaya Mail (DNP, 2019): Adang–Rawi closed 16 May to 14 October; Lipe and Tarutao open year-round. The Thailand area file gives 16 May to 14 October for 2025. Dive-the-world: 16 May to 15 November. thainationalparks.com (2026): most park attractions closed 1 June to 30 September, Ko Adang closed until 31 December. Wikivoyage (Ko Adang): mid-May until October. TAT (January 2026) says each attraction's status is published in a DNP spreadsheet. Tarutao NP: 074 783 485. Clearance at Lipe is also only possible in the ferry season (about mid-October to mid-May). Position approximate: centre of Koh Adang.
