Anse Badamier trail (Curieuse)
4° 16.8′ S · 55° 43.3′ E · approximate
The cross-island trail from the rangers' quarters along the shore past the turtle-pond ruins and the old mango plantation, then over beneath Curieuse Peak to Anse Badamier on the wild north coast.
Practical
Marked trail per the SPGA leaflet; allow time for the climb in the heat and carry water. The north coast including Anse Badamier is a restricted zone for boats (SPGA visitor information), so reach it on foot only — do not anchor there. A further marked trail circles the whole island (SPGA). Coordinate approx: midpoint of the trail line on the park signboard map.
Best for
A quieter half-day hike through coco de mer scrub to the north shore
