Road Bay Dinghy Dock (Sandy Ground Pier)

The landing for everyone anchored in Road Bay, right in front of the Customs & Immigration office at Sandy Ground. Bars, restaurants and taxis are a short walk along the beach road.
Practical
Coordinate is the Sandy Ground pier (OpenStreetMap way 361354823). Customs and Immigration are immediately in front of the dinghy dock (2019 report), which is why most boats anchor on the north side of the bay in 3-4 m. Local boats and charters use the wharf near the middle of the bay, fishermen keep to the north end and container ships use the south end, so keep your dinghy clear of the working berths. Johnno's beach bar also has a dinghy landing (2009 report). In winter northerly swell, landing can be wet. No chandlery or fuel at the dock (2019). Lock the dinghy.
