Anguilla Customs & Immigration, Road Bay (Port of Entry)

18° 11.9′ N · 63° 5.5′ W

The combined Customs and Immigration office on the beach at Sandy Ground. It is Anguilla's only port of entry for yachts, and you also buy the cruising permit here.

Practical

Coordinate is the Sandy Ground pier (OpenStreetMap way 361354823); the office is in front of the dinghy dock. Go directly to Road Bay and clear in before going anywhere else. Pre-register on SailClear (customs.gov.ai links to it), though a 2019 Noonsite comment said Road Bay was not using it then, and paper forms are completed on site. Hours reported by cruisers in 2019: 8am-4pm daily. The Customs Department head office in The Valley lists weekday hours of 8am-4pm (+1 264-497-2513). Clearance fees are roughly US$50 for a double-handed yacht up to 20 tons (Noonsite, undated); verify locally. Clear out ashore before you leave, which means launching the dinghy. Blowing Point is a ferry port and does not clear yachts.
