River Boat Harbour (Doyle Waypoint)

The traditional small-boat harbour in the reefs off River, south of the island's only wharf. Doyle gives it a waypoint, but it is a local-knowledge spot rather than a comfortable overnight anchorage.
Practical
Coordinate verified as Doyle's published waypoint LBAU05 'Barbuda boat harbor' (N17 35.08 W061 49.50); this is a pilotage reference, so confirm depth and swing room yourself. A 2019 cruiser report says the harbour is coral, with many more coral heads than Navionics shows. The old buoys are gone, and locals recommended the area just east of where they were charted as relatively free, but a catamaran was wrecked there that year. The crew stayed only an hour because of the swell. There are lobster barbecues on the beach when there is a party. Use only in calm conditions with excellent light.
