Coral Group Bay Reefs

17° 34.7′ N · 61° 48.9′ W

The patch reefs of Coral Group Bay, named for their abundance of coral. The water is clear and shallow, and stingrays and sea turtles are often seen, close to Roddy's beach bar.

Practical

Coordinate verified: Wikipedia's position for Coral Group Bay, which is over the bay itself. Snorkel by dinghy from Uncle Roddy's Beach Bar Anchorage or Martello Tower Anchorage. Shallow, with coral heads close to the surface: watch the dinghy prop and never anchor on coral. Calm in normal trade winds but affected by southerly swell.
