A modern boatyard on Crabbs Peninsula, originally built as a private yard for a yacht owner and opened to the public in 2011, known for concrete hardstanding, dedicated hurricane tie-downs and a large enclosed storage shed.
Practical
Pin is the Crabbs settlement node (OSM) because no source gives the yard's exact position; it is on Crabbs Peninsula at the entrance to Parham Harbour. Enter via the channel marked by red balls off Maiden Island, in daylight only. 150-ton travel lift (Noonsite: 30 ft beam, 17 ft max draft; another directory gives 31 ft and 22 ft); shore storage, water, workshops, limited dockage. Owners can work on their own boats or the yard does the work; outside contractors must be insured and approved. Noonsite calls it the best hurricane storage in the area. Budget Marine North Sound is on site (+1 268 562 8753; Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm). Yard phone +1 268 562 3499; info@northsoundmarine.com. Close to the airport (convenient for crew changes).
