Vrika Beach & Anchorage (Antipaxos)

39° 9.7′ N · 20° 13.4′ E

The sandy bay at the north tip of Antipaxos, with a white-sand beach, beach tavernas, and a view straight back to Paxos. Mesovrika, a pebble cove marked on mySea as 'Emerald Bay', sits between Vrika and Voutoumi.

Practical

mySea gives 1-10 m over sand and weed patches. It calls Vrika a 'lovely bay with beautiful beach, but no protection from the prevailing winds', so use it as a day stop. Emerald Bay/Mesovrika (39.16012N 20.22682E) is 1-3 m over sand with good holding, in front of an idyllic beach. Wikipedia: Vrika is white sand, Mesovrika pebbles. Both fill with day boats from late morning; arrive early.

Best for

A swim stop on the Paxos-Antipaxos shuttle

Season

Settled weather; exposed to the NW breeze
