Stamfani Anchorage (Strofades)

37° 15.1′ N · 21° 0.8′ E · approximate

An open-roadstead stop off the monastery island of Stamfani, the only realistic way to visit the Strofades.

Practical

SailingIssues anchored a chartered yacht from Sami (Kefalonia) 'in the bay east of the lighthouse' and published photos of the stop (2025 and April 2026); no depths or holding are given. Coordinate is derived: just off the landing slipway on Stamfani's north-east side (OpenStreetMap node 7990293737). Exposed to all open-sea weather; go only in a settled forecast and do not leave the boat unattended. Reefs lie north of Arpia (SailingIssues). Protected marine park area: no fishing, take nothing.
