Faros Tunnels & Mizithres Dive (Keri Lighthouse)
37° 38.9′ N · 20° 48.9′ E · approximate
The farthest of the southern dives, under the Keri lighthouse cliffs where the Mizithres sea stacks stand: two 30 m tunnels and a huge cavern, with monk seal sightings.
Practical
Faros means 'lighthouse'; Turtle Beach Diving Center lists the site as its farthest, about 40 minutes by boat, maximum 12 m, suitable for everybody. The coordinate is Mizithres beach below the Keri lighthouse (OpenStreetMap); placing the dive here is by name only, as the centre gives no position. One of the Mizithres rocks has a swim-through crack full of starfish (zanteisland.com). Very deep water under the cliffs: no anchoring. Come in the morning in calm weather; leave any cave where a monk seal is resting.
Best for
Tunnels and caverns for a calm-day boat dive
Season
