Keri Caves Dive Site (Blue Cave)

37° 38.9′ N · 20° 50.4′ E · approximate

The best-known dive in the south: a 75 m blue cave in the Keri cliffs, a second cavern with an arch at 12 m, a shimmering sulphur layer and bats in the roof.

Practical

Coordinate is 'Keri cave' on OpenStreetMap; the dive centre does not publish an exact position. Depth 5–12 m; torch required; about 25 minutes by boat from Limni Keri (Turtle Beach Diving Center). Keri Caves II is on the opposite side of the bay: a huge gap about 35 m deep into the wall with an open top. The water under the cliffs is very deep, so there is no anchoring: dive from a dive-centre boat, or from your yacht with someone standing by under way. Inside the marine park: 6 knots maximum and fly the diving flag. Go in the morning before the afternoon NW breeze.
