Lakka Village Quay & Mole

39° 14.1′ N · 20° 8.2′ E

The short village quay and stone moles at the head of Lakka Bay. A handful of shallow-draught yachts can berth stern-to here, steps from the bars and the bakery.

Practical

Depths are only 1-1.8 m at the quay; new mooring rings have been set into the SE section, but keep the stern about 2 m off and sound before committing, going bows-to if necessary (mySea). West of the tripper-boat jetty, a few boats drawing up to 1.4 m can lie stern-to in 1.4-1.9 m; water is available (39.23536N 20.13529E). The raised mole on the east side has no rings: take a bowline round the rocks, anchor to the south, and you are better sheltered from swell there (39.23697N 20.13447E). Noonsite says the dock has room for about 40 yachts, but roughly half is reserved for flotilla companies. Boote (2023) counts perhaps a dozen berths on the pier with water and power. Most visiting yachts anchor instead.

Best for

Shallow-draught boats wanting to step straight ashore
