Valaxa Islet & Light (Skyros)

A barren islet off the south-west coast of Skyros that shelters the approach to Linaria. Its light is the key mark for yachts arriving from the south-west.

The Linaria Port Fund lists the Valaxa islet flash light about 3 nm out on the S–SW route into Linaria. The position is the OpenStreetMap islet centroid, not the light. No published anchorage data was found for Valaxa, so treat it as a navigation mark. Give the islet and the nearby Diavatis rocks a wide berth.
