Skyros Diving (Gorgonia Diving)

38° 50.5′ N · 24° 32.2′ E · approximate

The only dive centre operating on Skyros, running since 2014. It dives walls and drop-offs, sea caves and soft-coral and sponge reefs, plus the wreck of the Agia Matrona, an 84.3 m cargo ship sunk on 8 February 1983.

Practical

Contact by WhatsApp +30 697 672 0946 or gorgoniadive@gmail.com. The centre needs a meeting at its shop the day before the dive, to fit equipment and sign a medical form. Its site does not publish the shop address or where the wreck lies, so the position is set at Linaria quay as a placeholder; ask for a meeting point you can reach from the boat. Price list on the site (2026): Try Scuba from the shore €70, by boat €90; fun dive from the shore €50; single boat dive €70; two-dive boat package €130; single wreck dive €80; night dive €60; Open Water course €450. Courses are SSI. Expect octopus, moray eels, sponges and rock formations.
