Linaria Quay Water & Fuel Delivery (Skyros)

38° 50.5′ N · 24° 32.2′ E

How to get water and diesel at Linaria: water and shore power are on the quay, and fuel is trucked to the quay from the island's filling stations.

Practical

Linaria Port Fund: drinking water and electricity (16–63 A) on the quay, included in the port fee and described as free for fishing and sailing vessels. Use water sparingly: boat washing is banned because of the water shortage. Fuel is delivered by a third party from one of the island's three stations, the nearest about 4 km away. Call +30 22220 91388, +30 22220 92017 or +30 22220 91409, or ask the port assistant (Sakis, +30 6978 409433, VHF 9). OpenStreetMap also maps a Shell filling station by the harbour (38.8424, 24.5361); it is a road station, so the quay delivery above is the practical route for diesel, and hours were not verified. Other stations are on the Linaria–Chora road and at Molos (OpenStreetMap). Laundry machines by the showers 9:00 am–9:00 pm. Waste oil goes to the south pier near the light, batteries to the north pier. The port page's contact details may be dated, so verify locally. Achilli Port, on the east coast, has a single water point and no electricity (Grecosailor). The position is the OpenStreetMap Linaria ferry-terminal node.
