Pefkos Bay (Skyros)
38° 51.4′ N · 24° 30.6′ E
A pine-fringed bay on the west coast north of Linaria, with what one guide calls the best, sandiest and cleanest beach on that coast.
Practical
Sand with light weed, anchor in 5–10 m outside the mooring buoys (Grecosailor). A sailor used a buoy in Force 3, but the buoys may belong to a private residence and may not be free in peak season — ask or anchor. Described as wonderfully sheltered from the prevailing northerlies; open to the west and south-west. Small beach taverna in season (verify locally); no other services.
Best for
Swimming and a calm night in northerlies
Season
May–Oct; avoid in westerlies
