Kos Kite & Windsurf Beaches (Mastichari, Kohilari & Kefalos Bay)

36° 50.9′ N · 27° 4.4′ E

Kos's north-west coast catches the summer meltemi clean off the sea, making Mastichari and nearby Kohilari beach the island's kiteboarding spots, while Kefalos Bay in the south has windsurf schools.

Practical

Wikivoyage: the north-west (Mastichari and Kohilari beach) has good kiteboarding conditions, and two windsurf schools at Kefalos Bay offer private and group lessons. Coordinate is Mastichari main beach (Wikivoyage), sandy, with a windsurf centre at its end. Kamari Bay (Kefalos) also has windsurf hire (ActiveCaptain). Marmari, between Tigaki and Mastichari, is on the same wind-facing coast, but no source used here confirms a school there.
