Antimachia Castle (Kos)

A large Knights-era castle on the plateau above Kardamena, overlooking the busy strait between Kos and Nisyros.
Practical
A 40-minute hike uphill from Kardamena harbour (Sailing Issues). The castle at Antimachia was besieged and destroyed by an Ottoman fleet in 1455 (Wikipedia). Go early in the day; little shade.
