Marmari Beach (Kos)
36° 52.9′ N · 27° 9.1′ E
The broad sandy north-coast beach in front of Marmari village, between Tigaki and Mastichari, open to the summer northerlies and lined with resort hotels.
Practical
Coordinate is the centre of the OSM 'Marmari Beach' outline (way 381504306); a second mapped section runs west toward Mastichari (way 435780804, 36.87818 N, 27.14253 E). Marmari is one of Kos's main villages (Wikipedia). No harbour and no anchoring notes in any sailing source used: the coast faces north into the meltemi, so visit by road from Mastichari or Kos Town. The same coast is Kos's kite and windsurf side (see the Kos Kite & Windsurf Beaches entry).
Best for
Long walks and wind-swept swims on the north coast
Season
Jun–Sep; windy in the meltemi
