SS Patris Wreck (Kea)
37° 34.7′ N · 24° 15.8′ E · approximate
An 80 m paddle-wheel steamer that hit the reef off Koundouros on 24 February 1868 without loss of life. She lies at 28-54 m against the reef, the only Kea historic wreck open to recreational divers.
Practical
Minimum Advanced Open Water certification; AOW divers are limited to 30 m and Deep specialty to 40 m. A dive computer is mandatory and a check dive is recommended. No descent line or deco station is needed because the wreck lies against the reef. Dive only through a licensed Greek centre such as Kea Divers, which runs it first in the Patris-Burdigala-Britannic sequence. The coordinate is approximate: the Koundouros reef (Ifalos Koundouros) on OpenStreetMap, against which the wreck lies. The reef sits just below the surface about 300 m off the bay, so yachts must keep clear.
