Antikeros-Drima Anchorage

36° 50.5′ N · 25° 40.6′ E

A lagoon-like channel between the islets of Antikeros and Drima (Kato Antikeri), with cerulean water and white rocks, often used as a lunch stop between Amorgos and the other Small Cyclades.

Practical

Drop anchor east of where the islets meet, in 3-8 m, optionally with a line to the Antikeros shore. Reasonable to good shelter from the NE meltemi and other directions; prevailing gusts NE. The channel carries at least 4 m. Mind the long reef extending from the north-east of Antikeros, and an isolated rock awash south of Antikeros shown on EagleRay and Garmin charts (sailingissues).

Best for

Lunch stop on the Koufonisi-Amorgos run

Season

Good in NE meltemi
