Position is the compendium's Varua Hotspot coverage point 'South of Otugi Pass' (-15.930778, -145.888796); the other Toau points are 'North of Otugi Pass' (-15.910546, -145.898656), Maragai Old Village (-15.867805, -145.931728) and Anse Amyot (Matariva). Plans are bought online (PayPal accepted); 2021 prices were 8.40, 16.80 and 25.20 euros for unlimited data at about 1, 3 and 5 Mb/s, verify locally. An external antenna improves the connection a lot. Vini and Google Fi phone data also worked in 2020, best with the device raised up the mast. There is no other service at the pass: no fuel, shop or water point on the rim.
