Kamaka Island (private, landing forbidden)
23° 14.7′ S · 134° 57.5′ W · approximate
A small, steep rocky island at the far south of the archipelago. It is privately owned and cruisers may neither anchor nor go ashore.
Practical
approx: Wikipedia gives 23 deg 14'39"S 134 deg 37'30"W, which lies far outside the lagoon. The latitude is used here with the longitude corrected to 134 deg 57.5'W, consistent with Soggy Paws' SE pass 'near Kamaka' at 23 deg 16.23'S 134 deg 56.05'W. Check it against your chart. Anchoring and landing have been forbidden since about 2022. The southern barrier reef is deeply submerged, so swell is very uncomfortable and anchoring was always difficult.
