Mekiro Islet Summit Hike

A short scramble from the beach to the cross on top of uninhabited Mekiro, with sweeping views of the Akamaru bay, Taravai and Mangareva.
Practical
approx: Mekiro lies about 0.5 nm south of Pitufa's anchorage; the pin is the islet itself (no published summit position). Leave the dinghy on the small beach or tied to a rock and head straight up. The path is hard to find from the beach but obvious once on the ridge. Walk the ridge for the views. From the top you can spot the coral on Mekiro's west side for snorkeling.
