Isla Máquina (Mormake Tupu) Village

9° 27.2′ N · 78° 51.2′ W · approximate

Mormake Tupu, better known as Isla Máquina, is a Guna village island in the Río Sidra group just off the mainland west of the Naguarandup Cays, one of the inhabited community islands visitors can see on the way between Carti and the outer cays.

Practical

Coordinate approximate: the village point in OpenStreetMap (node 8640559867, 'Mormagedub (Isla Maquina)'), on land. No cruiser report with an anchorage waypoint or fee for Isla Máquina was found; boats usually visit by dinghy from the Robeson Islands or Kuanidup anchorages nearby. Inhabited community islands generally charge a small visitor fee, ask that you dress modestly and request permission (often about $1) before any photo; some ban alcohol (Panamaspot; Toucan Discovery). Molas are sold directly by the makers.
