An offshore reef on the south coast with crystal-clear water and a small sandy beach at its west end; Virgintino's favourite lunch stop and snorkel when making easting.

Belize Barrier Reef

Practical

Position is Virgintino's waypoint just north of the reef (17 49.30N, 077 32.25W). Anchor in the SW corner in about 10 ft. Open to the wind but protected from the sea. Many fish pots around. The reef shows no light: avoid it carefully at night.
