Man of War Bay South Anchorage (Great Inagua)

21° 1.9′ N · 73° 39.9′ W

The southern part of Man of War Bay, just south of the Morton jetty and closer to Devil's Point, with turquoise water, a wide sand patch and good diving on the drop-offs.

Practical

ActiveCaptain: wide sand area in about 20 ft with great holding, close to excellent drop-off diving; one crew rode out NE 18-22 kt here in 26 ft south of the Morton jetty and found it comfortable once the wind went east. noforeignland: anchor in 28-30 ft on sand and bommies, or eyeball closer in and anchor in 3-4 m between the corals to snorkel from the boat. No land access or services; rocky shore; mosquitoes at times. Good cell data. Watch for the big steel ship mooring buoy north of here at night.

Best for
