Bird Rock Lighthouse
22° 50.7′ N · 74° 21.6′ W
A 112-ft white tower built between 1866 and 1876 on a sandbar-sized islet off Pittstown Point, marking the northern entrance of the Crooked Island Passage. Dark for roughly two decades, it has been relit with a solar lens and is now owned by Crooked Island Lodge, which welcomes visitors; it is the classic landfall mark when crossing from Long Island.

Wikipedia list: N 22°50'43.1" W 074°21'35.1", focal height 34 m (112 ft), Fl(2) W 15s, nominal range 22 nm (noforeignland pin N 22°50.722' W 074°21.582'). The Lighthouse Directory (revised Dec 2025) records it as reactivated after being inactive from about 1980 to at least 1999; still treat any remote Bahamian light as possibly unlit. Crooked Island Marina asks inbound boats to call on VHF 16 on reaching the lighthouse for channel guidance. The islet is about 1.7 km (5 minutes by skiff) off the point; go by dinghy from the marina or Landrail Point only in calm conditions, as reef and surge surround it. The lodge runs visits.
