Moraine Cay Anchorage
27° 2.3′ N · 77° 46.2′ W
A small, private and pristine cay on the edge of the Atlantic with a brilliant reef just outside and a sunset beach. You'll often have it to yourself.
Practical
ActiveCaptain position. Fairly exposed and shallow: over about 5 ft draft is pushing it, and boats have grounded pushing too far into the bay (a charter Lagoon 39, 2016). A swift current runs at times. Grassy bottom, so check the set (a Rocna took a couple of tries). Tuck in toward the southern beach in settled east to south-east weather. The island is private with rental cabins; respect the owners' property. Pre-Dorian reports (2014-2018).
