Lubbers Quarters Anchorage

26° 29.6′ N · 77° 0.2′ W

An anchorage off the west side of Lubbers Quarters Cay, the low, wooded cay between Elbow Cay's southern tip and Great Abaco.

Practical

Coordinate is an anchorage charted on OpenSeaMap (OpenStreetMap seamark). We found no current cruising-guide description of depth or holding here, so sound and check the set before settling in. The cay shelters it from the east; it is open to the west and northwest. Most cruisers prefer the Tahiti Beach Anchorage on the east side of Lubbers; the cay has small private docks (Lubbers' Landing, Wild Island Resorts, Lubbers Marina) rather than public facilities.

Best for

An alternative to Tahiti Beach in easterlies
