Cracker P's Bar & Grill (Lubbers Quarters)

26° 30.0′ N · 76° 59.7′ W

Beach bar and grill on the east side of Lubbers Quarters looking across to Tahiti Beach and Tilloo Cut, known pre-Dorian for its elevated deck, volleyball and bocce, monthly full moon parties and the area's longest rum list.

Practical

Coordinate is Cracker P's dock (OpenStreetMap). Southern Boating (2017, updated 2019): a short dinghy ride from the Tahiti Beach anchorage; tie up larger tenders by dropping a stern anchor and nosing to the dock. Named, by local legend, for Paul John 'Cracker Pinder' Simmons, a Georgia fugitive who settled here around 1915. Current status unverified: the crackerps.com domain now redirects to an unrelated site, so ask on VHF 16 or the Cruisers Net whether it is open.

Best for

Full moon party (if it is running)
