Tiloo Cut snorkel (south end of Elbow Cay)
26° 29.9′ N · 76° 59.1′ W · approximate
The cut between the southern tip of Elbow Cay and Tiloo Cay, right beside Tahiti Beach, is one of the snorkel spots Wikipedia singles out for Elbow Cay. It makes an easy dinghy outing for boats anchored off Tahiti Beach.
Practical
Position approximate: placed at the south tip of Elbow Cay from the OpenStreetMap Elbow Cay outline (south edge about 26.499 N) next to Tahiti Beach, where Wikipedia puts the snorkelling in Tiloo Cut; plot it on your chart before swimming. This is an ocean cut: tidal current runs hard, so snorkel at or near slack water and keep a dinghy watch or tow the dinghy on a line. Do not try it when an ocean swell is running in the cut. Anchor at the Tahiti Beach Anchorage and dinghy over. No anchoring on coral; spearfishing in the Bahamas is by Hawaiian sling only (Wikivoyage).
Best for
A current-assisted snorkel from the Tahiti Beach anchorage
Season
Calm days, at slack water
