Hurricane Dorian (2019) damaged the roof and flooded the building; in September 2022 the government signed contracts to repair five Dorian-damaged Abaco clinics after assessing Cooper's Town, Fox Town, Marsh Harbour, Moore's Island and Sandy Point (the article does not name which five). For serious cases the main hospital-level care is in Marsh Harbour or by air to Nassau. Land the dinghy carefully: Cooper's Town shore access is difficult (see Cooper's Town Anchorage).
