Spanish Cay Customs & Immigration (Port of Entry)
26° 56.3′ N · 77° 31.5′ W · approximate
Customs and immigration officers are stationed at the Spanish Cay marina seven days a week, paid for by the island. Cruisers regularly call it the easiest clearance in the Abacos, often done over lunch in the air-conditioned restaurant.
Practical
Pinned at the marina (the officers work from the marina complex). The website lists a $100 clearance fee for transient boats and a discounted $50 per boat for marina guests (2020 rates page; also lists unlabeled $150 and $75 'Custom Clearance' figures, so confirm). Pre-Dorian ActiveCaptain reports: boats anchored outside paid a $50 landing fee to clear by dinghy (2012-2016), and the fee was waived for guests staying at least one night. Click2Clear first; captain only ashore under the Q flag. Government cruising-permit fees changed April 1, 2026; check Click2Clear. Noforeignland's area guide notes some visitors question the fees. Map position is an approximate representative point for this entry (derived from the nearest settlement, dock or harbour named above), not a surveyed location.
