Long Cay Anchorage
24° 40.0′ N · 76° 48.8′ W
A 1.8-nm ribbon of rock running north-south between Highbourne and Norman's, with a rocky peninsula poking west near its midpoint that forms a usable lee. Rarely visited, good bonefish flats behind it.
Practical
Anchor in the sand west of the peninsula in settled easterlies; open to the west. Holding is good in sand, patchy over grass. No facilities. The flats to the north and west are prime bonefish ground (note: fly-fishing the flats is legal here, north of the park boundary, with a Bahamas fishing permit).
Best for
Solitude and bonefish flats
