Banshee Creek Trail, Warderick Wells
24° 23.9′ N · 76° 37.9′ W · approximate
A tidal creek and salt-flat crossing on the way to Boo Boo Hill, floored with rippled sand and puddled with tide pools full of juvenile fish, rays and the occasional small shark. At low water you can walk clean across it.
Practical
Time the crossing for low or mid tide; on a high spring you will be wading thigh-deep. Soft mud in places - old trainers you don't mind soaking. It's a nursery habitat, so tread lightly, look but don't lift. Part of the marked trail network mapped in the free park handout.
