Falls of Baleine (boat trip)
13° 22.3′ N · 61° 11.8′ W · approximate
A 60 ft waterfall dropping into a rock pool at St Vincent's roadless northern tip, reached only by sea and a 10-minute walk through the jungle.
Practical
Coordinate is the centroid of OpenStreetMap's 'Baleine Bay' polygon (approx; the falls are just inland). Dive St Vincent describes the 10-minute jungle hike to the 60 ft fall and rock pool. Usually visited by tour boat from the south coast or the leeward anchorages; by yacht, it is a daytime-only stop in calm conditions. The north tip is exposed to the Atlantic swell and the St Vincent Passage, and there is no protected anchorage. National Parks authority guidelines: the site is open to the public; take care on the jetty and the path to the falls; do not visit during heavy rain because of flooding and rock fall; no glass bottles; take your garbage away; nude bathing is prohibited. Boat trips often stop at Mount Wynne Beach on the way back.
