Buccament Bay Anchorage

13° 11.5′ N · 61° 16.2′ W · approximate

A wide black-sand bay at the mouth of the Buccament Valley, below a large beach resort, and the gateway to the Vermont Nature Trail.

Practical

Coordinate is the centroid of the OpenStreetMap 'Buccament Bay' polygon (approx). Noforeignland reviews are mixed: good holding in deeper water but poor holding near the river mouth, and wind shifts and swell can make it uncomfortable. The Buccament petroglyphs are mapped just inland (13.1903 N, 61.2636 W), and a clinic and supermarket are in the village. Taxi up the valley to the Vermont Nature Trail.
