Petit Byahaut North Shore Snorkel
13° 11.0′ N · 61° 16.0′ W · approximate
The rocky north wall of tiny, roadless Petit Byahaut bay is the snorkel highlight here: cruisers anchored overnight single it out for great snorkelling.
Practical
Coordinate is derived (approx): about 35 m off the north shore of the bay as traced from the OpenStreetMap coastline. Blue Dot Voyages anchored here and reported great snorkelling along the north side of the bay. The same reef is a dive site that drops to about 100 ft with a wide sweep of club finger coral (SVG Tourism). A 2024 charter crew who snorkelled at nearby Byahaut Point found poor visibility, little life and stinging cnidarians, so stick to the north side of Petit Byahaut and wear a rash guard. Petit Byahaut has a mixed security record on noforeignland: lock the dinghy and do not leave the boat unattended at night.
Best for
A quiet reef snorkel from the Petit Byahaut anchorage
Season
Nov-May in settled trades; exposed to winter north-west swell
