White Bay (Peter Island)

18° 20.9′ N · 64° 35.0′ W · approximate

A sheltered south-facing bay in Peter Island's elbow, looking out to Norman Island, with soft sand, reefs and sea turtles.

Practical

Approximate position: placed in the large bay on the south side between Peter Island's western and southern arms (the shore facing Norman Island, as the resort describes it), from the OpenStreetMap coastline; verify locally. The resort lists moorings in White Bay (reserve via the marina, VHF 72). Noonsite (2024) rates it a day stop. The beach is resort-run (cabanas and picnics for resort guests; Wikipedia says guest-only), so stay below the high-water mark. Open to the south: avoid in southerly swell.

Best for

Snorkelling with turtles on the quiet side of Peter Island

Season

Settled easterlies; avoid with south in the wind
