Deadman's Bay (Peter Island)

18° 21.5′ N · 64° 34.2′ W

A mile-long palm-shaded crescent beach on Peter Island's north-east shore, looking straight at Dead Chest Island, with seagrass snorkelling, bait fish and tarpon.

Practical

Position is the OpenStreetMap 'Deadman Bay' node. The resort lists moorings in Deadman's Bay (reserve via the marina, VHF 72). Noonsite (2024) rates it a day stop; Yacht Warriors (2024) says holding over sand is not the best, so set the anchor carefully. The beach belongs to the resort: non-guests are limited to below the high-water mark, and marina reviews (2025 to 2026) say yacht guests are shuttled to the far end (Little Deadman's) without chairs or bar service. Resort watersports (kayaks, SUPs) run 7:30 am to 4:30 pm for resort guests in the water between the beach and Dead Chest. Open to northerly swell in winter.

Best for
