Watson Rock (Tobagos)
18° 26.3′ N · 64° 50.0′ W
An 89-ft steep-to rock in the channel off Great Tobago's southwest point, a warning of the hidden pinnacles scattered around the Tobagos.
Practical
Position from the OpenStreetMap islet outline, matching Coast Pilot 5 ('about 0.3 mile west of the southwest point of Tobago Island'). King Rock, awash and steep-to, lies 0.6 mile south of the southwest point at the south end of a 6 to 9 fathom bank (Coast Pilot 5); a small awash rock lies about 100 yards off Tobago's north point. Part of the Tobagos national park area. Snorkeling around it is 'wild-wild west' (JVD Scuba): only in calm conditions with a tended boat.
Best for
Navigation landmark at the western edge of the BVI
