Vieques wild horses

18° 7.2′ N · 65° 27.6′ W · approximate

Hundreds of paso fino horses, owned by islanders but left to roam, wander Vieques' roads, beaches and town streets; meeting them at Sun Bay or Playa Negra is part of the island's character.

Practical

Position is approximate: the central civilian part of the island between Isabel Segunda and Esperanza, where horses are most often seen. Wikipedia: Vieques is famous for its paso fino horses, owned by locals and left to roam free over parts of the island. Puerto Rico Ferry notes a 'wild' horse may greet you at Playa Negra. Drive slowly at night: horses stand in unlit roads (Wikivoyage notes horses and chickens run wild in the streets). Do not feed them. In the refuge, horseback riding is allowed only on designated roads and trails, not on beaches (USFWS).
