Seal Dog Rocks

18° 30.3′ N · 64° 26.0′ W · approximate

Exposed rocks northeast of the Dogs washed by plankton-rich ocean water, where divers regularly see sharks, rays and big schools.

Practical

Coordinate approximate: south side of the Seal Dogs (OpenStreetMap islet at 18.5072, -64.4349). Dive BVI: 40 to 80 ft, novice/intermediate, exposed to the ocean and 'often' sharks and rays. Sunchaser Scuba: Seal Dog Rock 30 to 85 ft; on the lee side the boulder formations hide lobster and channel crabs, and in calm seas you can swim through the island. Open-ocean site: go with a dive operator and only in calm conditions.
