Flamenco Beach
18° 19.9′ N · 65° 19.1′ W
A mile-long horseshoe of powder-white sand around Bahía Flamenco on Culebra's north coast, regularly ranked among the world's best beaches; shallow turquoise water, reef on both arms and camping behind the dunes.
Practical
Position: OpenStreetMap 'Playa Flamenco' (way 426695438); Wikipedia gives 18°19′54″N, 65°19′05″W. Wikipedia: bathrooms and showers, lifeguard towers, about six food kiosks, and a fee-based campground with potable water; swimming limited to buoyed areas; reef about a quarter mile offshore for snorkeling; Blue Flag beach. Wikivoyage: camping permitted, call (787) 742-0700 (undated); reefs on each side are good for casual snorkeling. Visitors arrive by público or rental from Dewey (about 3 miles per Culebra Divers; the Virgintino guide says it is a little over a mile's walk from town).
