Anchorage· Norman Island· Virgin Islands (BVI, USVI and Spanish Virgins)
Benures Bay (Norman Island)
18° 19.4′ N · 64° 35.9′ W · approximate
A quiet bay on the north side of Norman Island's eastern half with a rocky beach, good snorkelling over coral and big sunsets over the Indians and the USVI.
Practical
Approximate position: placed on the north shore east of the island's northernmost point, consistent with Yacht Warriors' distances (0.3 nm from Money Bay on the south side, 0.6 nm from Soldier Bay); verify on your chartplotter before relying on it. Yacht Warriors (2024): formerly anchoring only, now a few mooring balls; limited room, arrive early in season; trails lead up from the beach. Noonsite (2018) lists moorings here. Open to the north, so avoid in winter northerly swell. No services.
Best for
A secluded overnight with snorkelling from the boat
Season
Best with settled east to southeast trades; untenable in northerly swell
