Racha Yai Ter Bay Wrecks (Harruby, Sinaran Andaman)

7° 36.3′ N · 98° 22.8′ E · approximate

Four buoyed wrecks off Ter Bay that suit all levels: the upright Harruby liveaboard (top 14 m, bottom 22 m, full of batfish), the bow of the 65 m container ship Sinaran Andaman on sand at 24 m, a broken old sailboat at 21 m with resident giant morays, and the barge 'Marla's Mystery' at 34 m.

Practical

Position is approximate, a little east of the SEAP Ter Bay waypoint; Marla's Mystery lies about 150 m east of the centre of the two bays (SEAP). All wrecks are buoyed and visiting yacht divers are welcome: if the mooring is taken, tie up behind a dive boat and go down its line. Always leave crew aboard. SEAP says a 400 THB per person dive levy is collected; Phuket 101 says there is no national park fee at the Racha Islands. Phuket 101 also reports the MV Meditation, sunk in 2023 about 200 m south of the Harruby, at 14-22 m. The Sinaran Andaman struck rocks off Koh Hei in July 2015 and its bow was laid here by the Coast Guard.
