Pileh Lagoon

7° 41.0′ N · 98° 46.1′ E · approximate

A large inlet on the east side of Phi Phi Le walled by cliffs, with a 5-8 m deep pool of emerald water at the back behind a coral reef at the entrance. It is a spectacular swim or kayak.

Practical

Position approx: OpenStreetMap bay node. Not accessible to deep-draft yachts because of the reef (Pilot), and anchoring on the east coast is difficult because of the depth. Drop crew off or take the dinghy in; the Pilot recommends hiring a longtail from Ton Sai. Depth of the pool from Wikivoyage. Go early or late to avoid the tour boats. Park fee applies.
