Maya Bay National Park Moorings
7° 40.8′ N · 98° 45.7′ E
Five National Park moorings in the mouth of Maya Bay. A few yachts can spend the night once the day boats leave, with the cliffs to themselves.
Practical
Southeast Asia Pilot waypoint 07°40.781N 98°45.675E, 4 nm from Ton Sai Bay. Five park moorings only. Time your evening arrival for when the snorkel day boats leave. Anchoring on or near coral anywhere in the park is illegal and heavily fined. If no mooring is free, return to Ton Sai Bay for the night. The beach is closed to yachts. Check whether the moorings are usable during the August and September closure, when boats are not allowed into the bay. Exposed in the SW monsoon.
Best for
An overnight at Maya after the crowds leave
Season
